The Children's Home

Volunteering in 2010
The Children's Home, Pokhara
What you eat everyday in Nepal: dal bhat!
Getting ready for school.
Daily exercises at school.
Sewing and washing clothes. No machine.
Rain water is used for washing.
Doing homework.

Volunteering in 2011

Empty fridge (and not working).
Shopping in local market...
Everything goes in the taxi. And sometimes by motorbike.

Paying children's school.
Saying 'Thank You Very Much' to all friends and family who helped.

Volunteering in 2012
Children also cooking... and getting all dirty.
Eating... dal bhat, of course!
Everybody cleaning the place.
Shopping again...
Paying the house rent.
So many things need fixing.
Or buy new...
Fortunatly more people came to help.
And so we could fix all the plumbing in the house... buy motor to pull the water, put taps and so on.
Don't need more 'shower' or washing dishes outside.

Then we could buy new fridge and a washing machine... that they deliever only by night, while there was no power.
Children started singing and dancing, they were so happy.
Then all the electrical part and other things in the house were arranged and finally the washing machine could work.

And the new fridge was installed.

New things bought for the kitchen.
Taking children to doctor and dentist... and house mother too.
Buying new clothes and school bags.
Buying wood and compost.
New sign board.
Fixing the chicken house.
So we could buy chicken and their food.
Paying the school fees one more time for the whole scholar year.

Four children have been sponsored.
Buying books and stationary.

Private tutor for the kids.

New colours and stuff in the house.
Some delievered goods by post.
And more and more shooping for food...
